Clear Skincare
Black Friday
Black Friday is one of the noisiest moments on the retail calendar, with every brand competing for attention through bigger discounts and louder messaging. I wanted to create something that stood apart. Rather than relying on product-led advertising, I developed a bold typographic campaign that transformed promotional messaging into a distinctive visual identity. From social, BVOD and digital OOH to radio, print and in-clinic environments, I created a flexible campaign system that delivered consistency, cut-through and impact across every customer touchpoint.

The concept started with a simple idea: let the typography do the talking. Rather than relying on product imagery or heavy retail graphics, I used bold type, repetition and scale to create a campaign identity that immediately grabbed attention. It gave Clear Skincare a distinctive look during one of the busiest retail periods of the year while providing a strong visual foundation for every execution.

One of the most satisfying parts of this project was seeing how effortlessly the idea translated across every format. Whether it was a social post, a digital OOH placement, an animated video or in-clinic collateral, the typography retained its impact. It proved that a simple, well-crafted idea can work just as hard on a large public screen as it does on a phone.
-
Black Friday advertising has a habit of shouting. Bigger discounts, more offers and more visual clutter. I deliberately took the opposite approach. By stripping the creative back to bold typography and a disciplined visual system, the campaign stood out because it was confident, clear and instantly recognisable—not because it was louder than everyone else.
